
Among the pledges made by the parties are to improve the level of transparency in public administration by putting an end to leakages and ensuring that the benefits from the government’s development projects are felt by the masses.
The parties also pledged to make sure that the rakyat has access to education and health services that are not burdensome to them, and to improve their livelihood by increasing the number of jobs in various sectors.
Besides that, they pledged to spur economic growth and restore investors’ confidence which would help make Malaysia more prosperous and increase its competitiveness level on a global scale.
Earlier, Umno vice-president and Titiwangsa MP Johari Ghani told the convention that the government must focus on the people’s four main areas of concern: food, good education, jobs, and housing.
The parties also pledged to preserve public harmony which would help guarantee the country’s stability and unity among the rakyat through an inclusive approach that would unite Malaysians of all races and religions.
The unity government comprises Pakatan Harapan, Barisan Nasional, Gabungan Parti Sarawak, Gabungan Rakyat Sabah, Warisan, Muda, Parti Bangsa Malaysia, and several independent MPs.
