
She added that the government must be open to accept criticism from the people as well as professional bodies, such as the Bar.
“Malaysia is a free country. I don’t mind. For me, it’s their right.
“The unity government is one that practices democracy and we must be open to criticism,” the Pengerang MP told reporters at the Hari Raya open house held for her parliamentary constituency here.
She added that the government must be responsible and emphasise transparency and accountability.
The no-confidence vote was part of a resolution on the independence of the judiciary and upholding the rule of law, which was adopted at the Bar’s extraordinary general meeting on Wednesday.
