3.5-magnitude quake in Sabah, no tsunami threat

The epicentre of the quake was 365km north of Tarakan, Indonesia, with a depth of 10km.

PETALING JAYA:
A 3.5-magnitude earthquake struck Beluran in Sabah at 9.07am today, said the meteorological department (MetMalaysia).

MetMalaysia director-general Helmi Abdullah said the epicentre of the quake was 365km north of Tarakan, Indonesia, with a depth of 10km.

Helmi said there was no threat of a tsunami to Malaysia.
