Element X Strategies to host inaugural Edu X-Penang Education & Career Expo ‘23

The Edu X-Penang Education & Career Expo ’23 will be held on May 13 and 14.

Element X Strategies will be organising the inaugural Edu X-Penang Education & Career Expo ’23 on May 13 and 14, themed “Your Passport to A Better Future”.

This was announced at a press conference held today at the Setia SPICE Convention Centre.

A Malaysian-grown company specialising in branding, marketing, and activation, Element X Strategies has positioned the event as a comprehensive one-stop exhibition where students and parents can obtain the latest education information from exhibitors.

The expo also provides an ideal platform for local and foreign educational institutions to promote their pre-university, diploma, undergraduate and postgraduate programmes as well as professional and vocational courses.

There are courses aplenty at the Edu X-Penang Education & Career Expo ’23.

Besides those pursuing higher education, jobseekers will also find the exhibition useful.

This group of visitors will benefit from career guidance from industry experts through career talks, personality and career testing, CV and resume checking as well as information on scholarships and available financial assistance.

Renowned organisations in the country will also be present to offer employment opportunities to fresh graduates seeking employment.

Another highlight of the expo will be the Youth Empowerment Summit (Part I) that will be held simultaneously.

The aim of the summit is to provide a platform where youths can gather to learn, network, foster positive cultures, motivate as well as encourage healthier lifestyles, and deliberate on career planning.

The summit will also focus on showcasing the abilities and voices of young people, their needs, as well as their potential so that adults can learn more about what the young need and want from their community.

The expo is endorsed and supported by the youth and sports ministry, StudyPENANG, Penang Convention & Exhibition Bureau (PCEB) and Perkeso.

Speaking at the event, Penang state exco (tourism and creative economy), Yeoh Soo Hin said: “I am pleased to see that this event is supported by the youth and sports ministry, our governmental agencies – Penang Convention & Exhibition Bureau (PCEB) and StudyPENANG.

“We believe that education and career development are two crucial aspects of personal growth, which is why the Penang state government is providing opportunities for our young to access the best education and career prospects, building a prosperous and sustainable future for our state.”

Meanwhile, Khoo Boo Lim, executive director of StudyPENANG announced a special subsidy for institutions under the StudyPenang umbrella, exclusively for participation in the Edu X-Penang Education & Career Expo ’23.

Speaking to FMT, founder, CEO and director of Element X Strategies, Jason Yap said: “The education and career expo is in line with the government’s efforts to make Penang a well-established state aligned with the Penang2030 vision.”

He added that “community-building initiatives” aimed at engaging and empowering the population as a whole are underway, bringing agencies and elected representatives together for a broad and deep impact on society.

“Having good educational institutions, ample job opportunities, good public transport, an inclusive and well-engaged youth community as well as competitive wages play a huge role in making Penang more attractive and more liveable than it is now,” he said.
