Jimmy Puah, who is also the Tebrau MP, said the “policemen” had attempted to obtain their MyKad.
The couple were also threatened when they refused to hand over their identification cards.
“They tried to run away, but they were chased by the people recording them until they arrived at the Pasir Putih police station,” Puah said in a statement today.
The couple, including a 17-year-old girl, in Johor Bahru had been placed under remand for two days from yesterday.
They were arrested at two separate locations around Pasir Gudang yesterday after the video of them in a car went viral.
Puah also said that he had met the couple and their family members.
“I will be representing them pro bono.”
Police are investigating the matter for “gross indecent behaviour”.
