Zailani also spoke on how JPJ would check on renewals of the newly introduced digital road tax, saying his enforcement officers will use “smart management enforcement devices” (SMED) to check these.
He said leave for JPJ’s enforcement personnel had been frozen during and after Hari Raya Aidilfitri to ensure road users abide by the rules and to prevent accidents.
He advised road users to plan their trips properly.
He expected those returning to Kelantan to face congestion in Gua Musang due to road closure to make way for construction works for the Lingkaran Tengah Utama Expressway.
