Yii, a doctor by training, confirmed his appointment to FMT. It is unclear when his appointment had taken effect.

The DAP Youth chief has been Bandar Kuching MP for two terms and had chaired the parliamentary committee on health during the previous Parliament term.

In a Facebook post yesterday, Yii said he will be advising Zaliha on health reforms and policies.

“I will continue to play my part to complement the work of the minister and the health ministry,” he said.
