“The package (offered by Tamu Hotel) is attractive, especially for those who want to come to Kuala Lumpur for shopping. The package will also help improve the local hospitality and tourism industry.
“We hope more industry players can provide Rahmah packages like this, not necessarily only for Ramadan but after that as well,” he told reporters after launching the Rahmah package at Tamu Hotel & Suites Kuala Lumpur.
The Rahmah initiative was introduced in January to reduce the cost of living among the low-income group.
It is part of the ministry’s short-term strategy and includes programmes such as the Menu Rahmah meals and the Rahmah sales programme.
