
In a statement, MACC said it has taken the statements of the two officers, who will lodge a police report.
It said the baseless allegation was an attempt to tarnish the commission’s reputation.
“If there is evidence of wrongdoing, the accuser should come forward and lodge a report instead of making allegations on social media anonymously,” MACC said.
“MACC will not succumb to pressure from any party seeking to divert attention from the corruption and money laundering cases we are investigating.”
Edisi Siasat recently claimed that a businessman had lodged a report at the Putrajaya district police headquarters alleging that he was blackmailed by two MACC officers.
