KS Narendran said the family members were still searching for answers even after nearly a decade.

The Indian national, whose wife, Chandrika Sharma, was among the 239 aboard the fateful flight, said they were still in the dark over the fate of their loved ones, as they were on March 8, 2014.

“For all of us, finding the answers remains critical,” Narendran said during an online annual memorial to commemorate the ninth anniversary of the incident today.

He said not doing anything was not an option for all the family members involved.

“This (the search for answers) is to remind ourselves that there is a plane missing which we have very little idea about, and we need answers however long it takes, the sooner the better,” he said.

Jacquita Gonzales, whose husband, Patrick Gomes, was MH370’s inflight supervisor, urged the public to continue pushing for answers together with the family members.

She said the pursuit for answers must continue and those aboard MH370 should not be forgotten.

The MAS Boeing 777 vanished some 40 minutes after leaving Kuala Lumpur enroute to Beijing on March 8, 2014.

Its disappearance remains one of aviation’s greatest mysteries as it has not been found despite the longest and most expensive search mission in history.
