In a post on Twitter just before 3pm, Celcom said its customers in parts of Ulu Perak, Penang, Kedah and Perlis may find their voice and data services affected due to a “triple fibre cut”.
“Our network engineers are working hard to resolve this issue and restore services as soon as possible,” it said.
Replying to the post, Twitter user @Kysonycuv complained about having to wait for three hours, presumably after services in the netizen’s area were disrupted.
Another Twitter user, @IniAlalalannn, asked Celcom why it did not inform its customers about the service disruption earlier.
“It’s been three hours without service, and you’re only informing (us) now?,” the user asked.
Apart from enquiring on how to claim a refund for the hours lost, some of the netizens in the Twitter post contemplated switching to another telecommunications company.
