According to reports, Pakatan Harapan has been allocated 65% of the appointments with its partner in the ruling government Barisan Nasional getting the rest.
Perak PKR secretary Azlan Helmi said the appointments involve posts in government-linked companies and local authorities, as well as village heads, Bernama reported.
He said the party, which will get a share of the 65% of the posts allocated for PH, will not rush to fill the posts to ensure that every new appointment is done in an orderly manner and according to procedures.
“We do want to speed up the appointments, especially those involving village heads and local council members. The menteri besar, Saarani Mohamad, had stated prior to this that the selection is in the final phase.
“For appointments in GLCs, the candidates have already been screened and the Perak PKR leadership will ensure that those selected are truly qualified. We will submit the names to the PH leadership for approval,” Azlan said, according to Bernama.
