Johor crown prince Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim suggested former youth and sports minister Khairy Jamaluddin may also become the 'state youth adviser'.

This exchange between the Johor crown prince and Khairy Jamaluddin has aroused the interest on the future of the sacked Umno leader.
PETALING JAYA:
A quick repartee between Johor crown prince Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim (TMJ) and sacked Umno leader Khairy Jamaluddin has piqued the interest of Malaysians.

In a post on his Instagram story, TMJ hinted that former health minister Khairy Jamaluddin may be stepping into new roles in Johor now that he has been sacked from Umno.

Posting an old picture of him with Khairy, Tunku Ismail captioned: “Future JDTFC CEO and Johor Youth adviser.”

JDT are the current champions of the Malaysian Super League. They have held the title for the past nine years.

In an immediate response, Khairy reposted the picture on his account, saying “one door closes, others will open. Rezeki ditangan Allah (Livelihood is in the hands of God)”.

The former Umno Youth chief and former Selangor Umno chief Noh Omar were sacked last night for breaching party discipline during the 15th general election.

The party also suspended former vice-president and Sembrong MP Hishammuddin Hussein, former information chief Shahril Hamdan, Tebrau division leader Maulizan Bujang and former Jempol MP Salim Sharif for six years.

Earlier, Umno vice-president Ismail Sabri Yaakob expressed his disapproval over the decision to sack and suspend several party leaders.

“I do not agree with the decision on the dismissal and suspension,” Ismail said in an Instagram post. “It was not made in compliance with the legal process, and contrary to the principle of ‘natural justice’ and the right to defend oneself.”
