Some body parts were also found by the side of the road.
Sungai Buloh police chief Shafa’aton Abu Bakar told Berita Harian that passers-by spotted the bag at about 11.45am and informed the police.
“We found body parts (the torso) on the roadside and we also found a suitcase next to it.
“Our checks found that the bag contained other body parts.”
Shafa’aton said the head and both arms and legs were, however, missing.
“We have not identified the victim as well as the gender as we don’t have a complete body and there were no identification documents,” she said.
The case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code.
Further investigation is being conducted by the forensic team as well as the K9 unit.
