KOTA KINABALU:
Two Sabah Pakatan Harapan assemblymen have been sworn in as ministers in chief minister Hajiji Noor’s administration.

PKR’s Christina Liew and DAP Phoong Jin Zhe took their oaths at Istana Seri Kinabalu here this morning.

Barisan Nasional’s James Ratib was also sworn in as a state minister. He takes over the community development and people’s wellbeing portfolio from Shahelmy Yahya who has been appointed deputy chief minister and works minister.

Liew, a former deputy chief minister, is the new tourism, cultural and environment minister. She is the Api Api assemblyman.

Phoong, the Luyang assemblyman, is the new industrial development minister.

Last week, Sabah PH assemblymen reaffirmed their support for Hajiji amid rumours that his administration would be toppled by Sabah Umno chief Bung Moktar Radin and Warisan president Shafie Apdal.
