The outgoing Upko president also asked what would MPs be doing between 10am to 1pm on the days the Dewan Rakyat is in session if the timing is changed.

Yesterday, Speaker Johari Abdul said several MPs had submitted a proposal for the Dewan Rakyat sitting to be delayed to 2pm instead.
According to Bernama, Johari said this was to enable the Cabinet members to carry out their respective administrative duties in the morning before attending the sitting.
Other proposals that he received included extending the Parliament session to between 100 and 110 days as well as having a more relaxed dress code for MPs, such as wearing formal suits without neckties.
Tangau said he supported the proposal to increase the Parliament session to 110 days but made no comment on the dress code issue.
Johari said a committee would be formed to look into these proposals, adding that the first session of the 15th Parliament is expected to take place in February.
