
Redzuan is a Bersatu Supreme Council member while Zuhdi is a member of PAS’ central committee. Noh, who was dropped by Umno in the recent general election, was the Selangor Umno chief but resigned after the party’s dismal performance at the polls.
Former Segamat MP Edmund Santhara Kumar and Pejuang’s Khairuddin Abu Hassan are also included in the line-up of 30 MN Supreme Council members.
The others include law lecturer Shamrahayu Aziz, controversial preacher Ridhuan Tee Abdullah and celebrities like singer Jamal Abdillah, actor Eizlan Yusoff and actress Ummi Nazeera.
Annuar’s former aide, Tun Faisal Ismail Aziz, former Sungai Besar MP Budiman Zohdi, and Tengku Idris Sultan Abu Bakar, a member of the Pahang royal family, are also among the leaders.
The others are Yahya Ibrahim, Wan Azman Wan Sulaiman, Sofian Ibrahim, Aziz Ibrahim, Zaini Mohamad, Farah Umaira Paruwis, Lila Ruzaini Hussain, Faezah Abd Rahman Ali Nor Ahlam, Jasper Supah, Dr Junaidy, Zurihan Yusof, Azam Ismail, Chua Hock Kuan, Subash Chandrabose and Izzat Johari.
Annuar, the MN president, said these leaders will be the “main movers” for the NGO.
He said he had met former prime minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad yesterday, adding that the Pejuang chairman gave MN his “strong support” as he would back any effort to uplift the country and the Malays.
Annuar said MN was ready to work with political parties and assist Anwar Ibrahim’s government.
With already more than 20,000 members, he said, MN planned to tour the country and hold roundtable conferences with various community leaders.
He also said PAS secretary-general Takiyuddin Hassan and former Bachok MP Nik Abduh Nik Abdul Aziz are also MN members.
