Man burnt to death in fatal crash in Tuaran

A Sabah fire and rescue department spokesperson said the accident involved two cars in Kampung Tambalugu, this evening.

TUARAN:
A man was burnt to death in a crash that involved two cars in Kampung Tambalugu here this evening.

In the incident which occurred at 4.30pm, Mohd Fairuz Jasni, 38, was burnt to death in the Perodua Bezza that he was driving after it crashed with a Perodua Myvi and burst into flames.

A spokesperson from the Sabah fire and rescue department said the department received an emergency call at 4.48pm.

“The accident involved a Perodua Myvi that crashed with the Perodua Bezza. The Perodua Bezza was completely burnt, and the victim’s charred remains were found in the car,” he said when contacted by FMT.

He said the victim’s remains were removed from the burnt car at 7.21pm after the fire was put out.

The spokesperson said the victim’s remains had been handed over to the police. The driver and a passenger in the Perodua Myvi were not injured.
