KUALA LUMPUR: Police collected RM49.6 million in compound fines from 105,260 traffic offenders between January and October.
Inspector-General of Police Acryl Sani Abdullah Sani said this included RM10.37 million collected following a 50% discount on summons payment during the period, Bernama reported.
Speaking at the “monthly assembly with the IGP” at Bukit Aman here today, Acryl Sani praised the traffic investigation and enforcement department for implementing the cashless and digital payment system through the MyBayar Saman portal, which made it convenient for the public to settle their summonses.
