
In a Facebook post, Loke said he made an unannounced visit to monitor the line’s services from 5-7pm.
“I did not want to inform Prasarana’s management and the media (about the visit) as I wanted to experience for myself the conditions commuters have to face every day.
“The trains were very congested and uncomfortable,” said Loke. “I understand the difficulties the commuters face.”
Loke, who was also transport minister in the previous Pakatan Harapan government, said the coalition’s priority on regaining power would be to upgrade the entire LRT system.
The Kelana Jaya LRT line was in the headlines last month when 16 stations had to be shut down for about a week.
