PETALING JAYA:
An elderly man was found dead in his car just minutes after casting his ballot today.

The 79-year-old had just voted at the SJKC Batu 11 polling centre in Cheras, Kuala Lumpur, and was believed to have got into his car to drive home, Sin Chew Daily reported.

Several passers-by noticed something amiss, though it was unclear what they had observed about the man.

They called for an ambulance but the paramedics who arrived soon after confirmed that he was dead. The body was taken to the hospital.

According to medical staff, the man resided at Batu 9, Cheras, and his finger was marked with indelible ink, showing he had voted earlier.
