Pahang officials prepare for floods after forecast of heavy rain

Pahang officials and rescue teams are prepared to face the risk of early floods after a forecast of continuous rain for tomorrow until Friday, said menteri besar Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail.

He said officials had held a briefing with meteorological officers to make preparations. He said the state government had allocated RM47 million for efforts to meet the monsoon season.

Food items had been sent to places vulnerable to flooding, he said in Chenor today.

The meteorological department has issued a warning of continuous rain in Kelantan, Terengganu, Pahang, and Johor from tomorrow until Friday.
