Ismail said such initiatives include a new generation housing project as well as a scheme where second-generation Felda farmers may apply for plots of land to build their own homes.
“The government, through the 2023 budget, has made allocations for a scheme where those without a salary slip may still take housing loans, with the government providing a credit guarantee,” he said, according to Utusan Malaysia.
In the 2023 budget, the government pledged to allocate RM2.6 billion for Felda, Felcra and Risda as the main agencies that regulate commodity activities.
The former Bera MP also said Felda provided loans to second-generation settlers who wished to start their own businesses. They were also eligible for other schemes under Agrobank.
Ismail said BN had received the support of Felda voters in every election.
“I’ve never lost in any Felda area. In fact, I have received the most votes from Felda voters because the population is large. For example, Felda Purun has more than 3,000 voters.
“The second-generation Felda settlers are also our supporters and we need to help sort out their problems,” he said.
