PSB does not answer to leaders in Peninsula, says Lanang candidate

Priscilla Lau says Parti Sarawak Bersatu, unlike other parties, will not mislead Sarawakians.

Priscilla Lau is facing DAP’s Alice Lau (right) in a four-cornered fight in Lanang. Alice has been its MP for the last two terms.
PETALING JAYA:
Parti Sarawak Bersatu (PSB) is independent and does not answer to leaders from the Peninsula, says its Lanang candidate Priscilla Lau.

According to a Borneo Post report, she hit out at the party’s rivals saying that PSB, unlike other parties, would not mislead Sarawakians.

Priscilla said a vote for the ruling Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) was a vote for corrupt leaders in the Peninsula, adding that they had robbed Sarawak of its resources.

“Wake up, Sarawakians. Your right to vote is sacred. Your vote can save Sarawak from them,” she said at a PSB ceramah last night.

Lau also questioned why Sarawakians still believed in the promises made by parties from the Peninsula.

She also claimed that some voters in Lanang had no clue what their previous MP, Alice Lau, looked like, even though she had been their MP for two terms.

Lanang will see a four-cornered fight involving Priscilla, DAP’s Alice, GPS’ Wong Ching Yong and independent Wong Tiing Kiong.

Malaysians will go to the polls on Nov 19, with early voting set for Nov 15.
