“Firstly, I would like to apologise to all members of PAS for using inappropriate words,” he said in a Facebook post.
Wan Fayhsal also said PAS’ presence in Perikatan Nasional demonstrated its commitment in establishing a caring, clean and stable government.
“I will continue to fight alongside PN and PAS for fairness and equality of all Kelantanese and Malaysians in accordance with Islamic teachings.”
Wan Fayhsal came under fire after netizens discovered some of his old tweets about PAS, including one where he called supporters of the Islamic party “stupid”.
This came after Perikatan Nasional announced that he would be contesting the Machang parliamentary seat.
PN candidates in Kelantan will use the PAS logo in the 15th general election.
Wan Fayhsal had previously defended PAS in an Astro Awani interview, claiming that the Islamic party has changed for the better.
