PH chairman Anwar Ibrahim said the decision was taken at the coalition’s presidential council meeting yesterday.
He said PKR would contest Tapah and Sungai Siput (in Perak) and Sembrong (Johor).
Muda would contest Muar, Tanjong Karang and Tanjung Piai, while other seats will be announced soon.
In the tussle for Changkat Jong, Anwar said both Amanah and DAP had submitted their requests for the seat and the PH presidential council decided that Changkat Jong remains with DAP, Astro Awani reported.
Anwar was speaking at a meet-the-people session in Ulu Chemor, Ipoh.
The Changkat Jong seat came into the spotlight when Amanah’s state deputy chairman Muhaimin Sulam announced a candidate from his party for the seat. DAP then announced that its Teluk Intan publicity secretary Badrul Hisham Badarudin would be fielded.
Anwar said that PKR deputy president K Saraswathy will contest in Tapah, S Kesavan in Sungai Siput, and Hasni Abbas in Sembrong.
Tapah has been a BN stronghold since 2008, and it is currently held by M Saravanan, deputy president of MIC.
