PETALING JAYA:
Two candidates from Amanah, Dr Wan Ahmad Kamil Wan Abdullah and Dr Hafidzah Mustakim, have been named as Pakatan Harapan’s candidates for two PAS-held seats.

The two parliamentary seats are Kubang Kerian and Kota Bharu.

Wan Ahmad Kamil was a former professor at the Universiti Sains Malaysia Hospital in Kubang Kerian while Hafidzah is the deputy women’s chief of Kelantan PH.

They were named by former Amanah vice-president Husam Musa at a party event today. Husam was MP for Kubang Kerian from 1999 to 2004 when he was with PAS.

Kubang Kerian has been held by PAS since 1995 and was last won by PAS deputy president Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man.

Kota Bharu was won by PAS secretary-general Takiyuddin Hassan in 2013 and 2018.
