KOTA BHARU:
Annuar Musa, the anti-inflation special task force chairman, says they have received complaints about traders hoarding supplies to gain excessive profits during the 15th general election.

He said the task force viewed this matter seriously and would take necessary action.

“A meeting will be held on Tuesday with the enforcement team, including from the domestic trade and consumer affairs ministry,” he told reporters after handing over storm relief to 212 families in his parliamentary constituency of Keterah.

Annuar also warned wholesalers, distributors and traders against hoarding, adding that it would burden the people. He urged traders not to raise prices of goods due to GE15 and the monsoon season.
