Fadli Salleh said the Education Services Disciplinary Board decided that he did not breach any rules.
He also said that all the charges against him had been dropped.
The SK (1) Gombak teacher said netizens had played a huge part in the board’s decision.
Fadli made headlines after revealing that the ministry’s disciplinary board had issued him a letter, warning him of possible dismissal or demotion for voicing his opinions against the mathematics syllabus which he claimed was “too advanced”.
Fadli also claimed that there were those who were out to get him.
“This is clearly a case of tyranny. The punishment I was threatened with did not correspond with the transgressions I was accused of,” he said in a video which was uploaded on Facebook.
Meanwhile, former education minister Maszlee Malik claimed that the impending polls led to the board’s decision to free Fadli of the charges levelled against him.
“He is lucky. No action was taken because the 15th general election is around the corner and it would be turned into an issue,” he said in an interview that was streamed online.
