Earlier today Warisan Kedah chairman Fadzil Hanafi had said the party was considering to contest in the Alor Setar, Pokok Sena, Sungai Petani, Merbok and Padang Serai constituencies.

Shafie had said on Thursday that Warisan is likely to contest all 25 parliamentary seats in Sabah and one seat in Labuan.
Today, he announced Daud Yusof as the party’s candidate for the Kimanis parliament seat, saying: “We pray that we will win the election this time”.
In January 2020, Warisan candidate Karim Bujang was defeated in a by-election for the Kimanis seat, which was won by Mohamad Alamin of Sabah Umno.
Daud, 61, was elected state assemblyman for Bongawan in 2018, defeating Mohamad Alamin. Daud was re-elected in 2020.
He is the second parliamentary candidate announced by Warisan after Adnan Puteh who will contest in Sipitang.
