Coastal residents get high tide warning

Some low-lying areas along the west coast may experience flooding.

PETALING JAYA:
Residents of some low-lying coastal areas may experience flooding because of high tides this week, the national disaster management agency said.

The areas include Kuala Muda (Kedah), Bagan Datuk (Perak), Port Klang (Selangor) and Batu Pahat and Pontian in Johor.

High tides and low tides occur every day, and a spring tide and neap tide every month.

Daily tide tables are available at https://hydro.gov.my/ramalanpasangsurut.
