
He said this is because the PN ministers could have voiced their opinion on the matter during the Cabinet meeting.
“Their action is inappropriate. As Cabinet members, they could have discussed it during the Cabinet meeting,” he told reporters in Pontian, Sinar Harian reported.
“The matter shouldn’t have been brought outside the Cabinet as it could have been seen as having no confidence in the prime minister.
“If he (Ismail) had 100% legitimacy, now it’s only 60%.”
Bersatu vice-president Radzi Jidin, who confirmed that the 11 PN ministers had sent the letter yesterday, said they felt the people’s welfare should be the priority at this time.
There are 31 ministers in Ismail’s Cabinet, comprising 13 from Barisan Nasional, 12 from PN, four from Gabungan Parti Sarawak and one each from Gabungan Rakyat Sabah and Parti Bangsa Malaysia.
