Kim Jong-nam’s next-of-kin told to claim his items

His belongings, including cash, are being kept by the police.

The next-of-kin of Kim Jong-nam, the estranged brother of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un, has been urged to claim his belongings which include cash.

Jong-nam, who went by the pseudonym Kim Chol, was assassinated at klia2 in 2017.

The Sepang police, in a statement today, released a picture of the 52-year-old man with passport number 836410070 stating that his nationality was North Korean.

“The deceased’s next-of-kin can contact investigating officer Anuar Hanim at 016-4358222.

“If nobody who has family ties with him steps forward to claim his belongings within six months of this statement, they will be surrendered to the Treasury,” said Sepang police chief Wan Kamarul Wan Yusof.

In an incident that captured worldwide attention, Jong-nam was smeared with a VX nerve agent by two women identified as Siti Aisyah from Indonesia and Doan Thi Huong from Vietnam.
