Car drives through barriers, lands in dug-up road

The driver and passenger did not sustain any injuries in the accident in Setiawangsa, Kuala Lumpur.

PETALING JAYA:
A car drove through water barriers and landed in a dug-up road in an accident along Jalan AU3 Setiawangsa, in Kuala Lumpur, earlier this morning.

Wangsa Maju police chief Ashari Abu Samah said the 7.30am accident led to the car landing on its side in an area dug up for underground cable repair works.

Ashari said the driver and passenger escaped unharmed, while the car had since been lifted and towed away for repairs.

He said the case was being investigated under Rule 10 of the Road Traffic Rules 1959 for failing to control a vehicle’s movements while driving.
