Police are probing a robbery that took place at a house along Jalan Maarof in Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur, which left an elderly woman injured.

Brickfields district police chief Amihizam Abdul Shukor confirmed receiving a report on the matter and said the incident took place on Wednesday.

He said the case was being probed under Section 394 of the Penal Code for voluntarily causing hurt when committing a robbery.

Information on the incident had spread among the local community, with the woman said to have been admitted to a hospital.
