KUCHING:
The communications and multimedia ministry aims to distribute 80% of devices under the PerantiSiswa Keluarga Malaysia programme by the end of November.

Its minister, Annuar Musa, said 350,000 applications had been received under phases one and two, and the handover schedule for phase one was being arranged.

“To ensure that all recipients get their devices fast, we will process phase one and phase two applications simultaneously. We will also do an ongoing rollout.

“We will hand the devices over to applicants who fulfil all the conditions and are eligible,” he said after the PerantiSiswa handing-over ceremony here.

At the event, 411 trainees from Institut Pendidikan Guru (IPG) Kampus Batu Lintang and IPG Kampus Tun Abdul Razak received their devices at the Sarawak state-level distribution session, which began today.

To date, 7,400 students in Sarawak have also had their applications approved.
