
The former prime minister was admitted to IJN on Wednesday after he tested positive for Covid-19.
In a statement, his office said the 97-year-old will continue to be quarantined at home until Tuesday.
On Dec 16 last year, Mahathir was admitted to IJN for a full medical check-up. He was discharged a week later after he had undergone what the hospital said was “a series of medical investigations”.
On Jan 7, the Langkawi MP was admitted to IJN for an elective medical procedure and was discharged six days later.
On Jan 22, he was admitted to the institute’s cardiac care unit and was discharged on Feb 4.
Mahathir was also treated for a chest infection at IJN in 2018, and had undergone treatment and observation in August 2016.
