
He added that as the party headed for the next general election (GE15), it was key that all members were united and focused on the polls, by avoiding any internal bickering.
“Differences in opinion are normal, but we must be civil about it,” he said when opening the party’s muktamar (annual general assembly) here.
“We must remain loyal and wala’ (obedient) to party decisions and leadership, through thick and thin, as long as it is according to syarak,” he added.
Hadi said PAS was also open to talks with “sincere” parties aiming to return to the Islamic fold and stressed it would not cooperate with those involved in “sinful matters”.
“If the person has committed a sin and repented, then they can be pardoned.
“However, PAS will not turn a blind eye to evils such as corruption, money politics, rent-seeking politics, misbehaviour, and mismanagement… (as well as) celebrating evils to the extent of abandoning principles,” he said.
