KOTA KINABALU:
Libaran MP Zakaria Edris has denied rumours that he will be joining Parti Bangsa Malaysia (PBM).

“It’s not true,” he told FMT, adding that a full statement will be issued in the near future regarding the rumours.

Earlier, sources told FMT that Zakaria and Lahad Datu MP Mohamaddin Ketapi will be joining PBM tomorrow.

FMT is attempting to contact Mohamaddin for confirmation.

Meanwhile, PBM leaders who have been contacted have refused to confirm the rumours about the two MPs from Sabah joining the party.

PBM has maintained, however, that its president Larry Sng will hold a press conference with Mohamaddin tomorrow.

A source close to Mohamaddin told FMT that the former minister intends to announce joining PBM at tomorrow’s press conference.

He said an invitation to the special press conference by Mohamaddin was being issued today and one of those attending would be Sng.

“Yes, he will announce joining PBM tomorrow. We will meet tomorrow,” he said.

When asked if tomorrow’s press conference would also involve other representatives, the source denied this, saying that only Mohamaddin was involved.
