Judge Collin Lawrence Sequerah made the order today after Lokman tendered his unreserved apology over his action on June 30.
“Such an incident should not be repeated,” Sequerah said.
On June 30, Lokman was issued a show cause notice by Sequerah for verbally abusing a court policeman and questioning the country’s legal system during Umno president Ahmad Zahid Hamidi’s corruption trial.
According to the notice read out to him in court, Lokman had uttered: “The person in front is allowed, so why can’t I? Stupid!”
Earlier today, Lokman tendered his apology over his actions after the judge found him in contempt of court.
“I promised not to repeat it and I will obey the (court’s) rules when I enter the premises the next time.
“I plead for Yang Arif (Sequerah) to forgive me and just to impose a warning. I should not have said ‘stupid’ in court,” he said.
Lawyer K Balaguru then asked Lokman to reaffirm that he would not repeat his action in future.
“I promise,” Lokman said.
