Last week, deputy speaker Rashid Hasnon said Tajuddin had been ejected and suspended for two days from July 20 for his outburst in the Dewan Rakyat over his alleged history of making sexist remarks.
This occurred amid a back-and-forth between some opposition MPs and the Umno man after he hit back for being called out over his alleged history of making sexist remarks in the lower house.
Today, Teo Nie Ching (PH-Kulai) said Tajuddin had managed to vote for a motion to revoke the decision not to extend a provision under the Security Offences (Special Measures) Act 2012 (Sosma), despite his supposed ejection and suspension.
She cited the parliamentary Hansard for July 20’s sitting, adding that Tajuddin was still present during the afternoon session.
The former deputy education minister then urged Dewan Rakyat Speaker Azhar Harun to make a ruling in the matter and called for action to be taken against Rashid for misleading the Dewan by saying that Tajuddin had been ejected and suspended.
In response, Azhar said he needed to check the Hansard thoroughly first before making a ruling.
PH MPs had been pushing both Azhar and Rashid to take action against the Umno MP after he was allegedly caught uttering a lewd remark after the microphone was switched off.
