
The case will be heard by judge Jamil Hussin. Trail dates have been set for July 26-28, Aug 8-11, Sept 5-8 and Oct 3-6.
Deputy public prosecutors Rasyidah Murni Azmi, Mohd Afif Ali and Natrah Fareha Rahmat will appear for the prosecution while the defence team will be led by Firoz Hussein Ahmad Jamaluddin.
The prosecution had previously informed the court that it would call 19 witnesses.
Shahrir, 72, was initially charged in the sessions court. However, he applied for his case to be transferred to the High Court.
He was charged with money laundering for not declaring to the Inland Revenue Board the RM1 million payment as part of his real income in the income tax return for 2013. The money, believed to be from unlawful activities, was received from Najib through a cheque, the charge said.
The charge carries a maximum penalty of imprisonment of up to five years or a fine of up to RM5 million or both.
