PETALING JAYA:
A Singaporean involved in a road rage incident at the Johor Bahru immigration checkpoint near the Tuas Second Link has been arrested by Malaysian police.

Iskandar Puteri district police chief Rahmat Ariffin said the woman, 46, was detained on Thursday night.

The police also arrested an 18-year-old Singaporean man who was with her, The Straits Times reported.

According to Rahmat, they were apprehended at the Sultan Abu Bakar customs, immigration and quarantine complex in Tanjung Kupang, Iskandar Puteri.

“Both suspects admitted to being involved in the incident. It is believed that they got upset because their car was blocked and scraped,” he was quoted as saying by the daily.

A video of the woman throwing a fit went viral earlier this week.

In the two-minute video, the woman was seen standing in front of a black MPV to prevent jt from moving.

She was then seen pulling off the licence plate and throwing it at the windscreen before going back to her Singapore-registered car.

A man was then seen exiting the car and showing the middle finger to the MPV’s driver.

In the incident, which took place last Saturday, the MPV had tried to switch lanes while they were queuing at the immigration checkpoint.
