
Siti Aishah, who is a PKR member, said the Bukit Aman D5 classified criminal investigation unit informed her of this when she was called in to record a statement today.
“The police decided to mark the report as NFA because there is another investigation being conducted by the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission,” she said in a statement.
Siti Aishah lauded the decision as a sign of “maturity” of the police, adding that people should be allowed to criticise the government without fear of being reprimanded or intimidated.
The former PKR Srikandi (young women’s wing) chief was being investigated for a video in which she criticised the government’s announcement on the removal of subsidies from July 1.
