PETALING JAYA:
Selangor police have dismissed allegations that they arrested two of their own officers at an entertainment outlet here.

State police chief Arjunaidi Mohamed also denied claims that a substantial amount of cash was found on them when the alleged arrest took place.

However, he confirmed that the two officers, one an assistant superintendent and the other, an inspector, based at the district police headquarters and Bukit Aman respectively, were at the premises during the midnight raid.

“They will be referred to the integrity and standards compliance department (JIPS),” Arjunaidi said in a statement.

The raid was conducted by Bukit Aman’s JIPS.

Arjunaidi said police would not compromise if any officer was found to have breached regulations or tarnished the image of the force.

Earlier, Edisi Siasat alleged that two police officers were among the 64 people checked at the raided premises.

It claimed that the duo were found in a VIP room with two women, as well as a bag containing RM46,750.
