Couple die as superbike crashes into car at junction

A husband and wife returning from a superbike gathering died after their high-powered motorcycle crashed into a car at a junction in Kuala Terengganu this evening.

Abdika Razali, 36, and his wife, Rabiatuladawiah Saufi, 36, were returning to their home in Kemaman, Terengganu on their Aprilia RSV4 motorcycle.

They crashed into a car that suddenly exited a junction at about 4pm, Berita Harian reported.

Dungun district police chief Baharudin Abdullah said the car was driven by a Chinese national who is also a manager for the East Coast Rail Link project.

Razali and his wife died at the scene of internal injuries after they crashed into the car and were thrown to the ground.

The car driver, who was going to a project site in Marang, was not hurt, Baharudin said.
