PETALING JAYA:
A Seremban-based college at the centre of a police report is still operating, contrary to claims it had closed abruptly.

“The college has yet to close. The students are still attending classes, which have been conducted online since the movement control order,” a FA College of Technology spokesman told FMT.

He also said online classes were still being conducted for three students who were taking their diploma in animation.

The trio, he said, were in their final semester.

“Since there are only three students, it’s best to just conduct classes online rather than have them attend physical classes.”

He also said only “these three” had alleged that the college had shut down.

Earlier today, a student from the college lodged a police report against it, claiming she felt cheated after it “shut down without prior notice”.

The student, who wished to remain anonymous, claimed that it was her lecturers who informed her of the closure prior to it shutting down.

The student said she and her college mates now feared they would not be able to obtain their degrees or diplomas because of the closure.

She also said she had written to the higher education ministry about the matter.
