PETALING JAYA:
A group representing livestock farmers said the chicken supply crisis is expected to be resolved within a month.

The Federation of Livestock Farmers’ Associations of Malaysia (FLFAM) said that supply is expected to increase following the recovering momentum in chicken production.

“We expect that the supply-demand gap will be eventually closed, and supply will be able to meet demand within a month’s time,” the livestock farmers group said in a statement today.

On May 27, deputy domestic trade and consumer affairs minister Rosol Wahid said that the chicken supply shortage issue would be resolved by early this month, adding that in several areas around the country the situation had improved.
