PETALING JAYA: A 63-year-old man pleaded guilty this morning at the Johor Bahru sessions court to a charge of having unnatural sex with a cat, causing its death.
The incident happened at 4.30am on April 16 at a playground in Taman Ungku Tun Aminah, Skudai.
Janting Keling pleaded guilty to the offence under Section 377 of the Penal Code before Judge Fatimah Zahari.
He told the court he had just come to Johor Bahru from Sarawak and had no job. He was currently staying at his daughter’s home, Harian Metro reported.
The court granted the man, who was unrepresented, bail of RM6,000 in one surety and postponed the case for mention on May 25.
Under Section 377, Janting can be sentenced to a maximum of 20 years in prison and a fine or whipping.
