
In a statement, Ismail said this followed negotiations with the 30 highway concession companies. Putrajaya and the concessionaires will jointly bear the RM77.11 million cost of the discounts.
Toll exemptions will be given for the North-South Expressway, owned by PLUS Malaysia Bhd (PLUS), and East Coast Expressway, owned by Anih Bhd, and other highways connecting them.

This will be in effect from April 30 to May 1 and May 7 to May 8 for all vehicles.
“Meanwhile, toll discounts of 30% to 50% will be given for other highways for all classes of vehicles on the same dates and times,” said Ismail.
